Welcome to Mature Living Choices and Senior Living Choices!
We understand the importance of lifestyle, location, comfort, and amenities when choosing an active adult community, independent retirement community, senior living or assisted living community. Whether you are just getting ready to retire to an active lifestyle, a senior searching for assisted living options, or a family member helping a loved one, Mature and Senior Living Choices is committed to helping you find the very best resources. Explore the tabs above for detailed information on active adult communities for the independent lifestyle, active adult homes, senior living communities, senior resources, and services across the nation.
Senior Housing & Care
In the first tab, search our user-friendly directory of assisted living communities, residential and personal care homes, memory care communities, rehabilitation and skilled nursing homes, hospice care, and respite care. Within our assisted living communities, senior residents live in a comfortable and safe environment that feels just like home, offering customized personal care, social events and activities, some health services, and specialized accommodation to fit all variations of senior needs. These include 24-hour assistance with day-to-day living and tasks as well as daily balanced meals. Also included in the Senior Housing & Care tab are nursing and rehab centers, which have registered nurses (RN), licensed practical nurses (LPN) and certified nurse assistants (CNA) providing 24-hour medical care, which is especially beneficial for residents not strong enough to care for themselves. Our list of rehabilitation, nursing homes and hospice care facilities are always required to have an in-house physician.
Active Adult Communities
In the second tab, browse for active adult apartments and retirement or independent living communities with amenities such as transportation, dining, easy-access to health care, and activities to fit your active lifestyle. Before you get started, what is an active adult community and what does it include? These adult lifestyle communities normally only allow residents aged 55 years or older, and have real estate developments offering relatively maintenance-free living with many amenities such as easy access to natural and cultural attractions as well as an assortment of social clubs catering to specific interests, swimming pools, trails for hiking and biking, exercise centers, and nearby medical facilities. In the second tab, you'll also find an extensive list of Retirement Communities, or what we like to call "Independent Living Communities". These are typically campus-like communities and housing with many activities and amenities such as meals, transportation and light housekeeping, which are generally included in the rent for that month. Independent Living Communities are designed for older adults who can generally care for themselves.
Active Adult Homes
In the third tab, use our easy-to-use website to search for a new home community, single-family home, condominium, upscale manufactured home, villa or patio home. These active adult properties offer amenities that generally include fitness/wellness centers, parks and trails, golf, swimming, tennis as well as recreational, educational, cultural and social programs. Similar to active adult communities, they are either age-targeted or have an age restriction of 55 years or older. Housing for active adults is often designed for single-floor living and offer features and amenities such as laundry facilities as well as a master bedroom and bathroom on the first floor. Home exteriors normally require very little or no maintenance and yard maintenance is often included in the resident's monthly association fee. It is also very common to have nearby recreation like parks, trails, and a lifestyle center with social events and activities such as tennis, golf, shuffleboard, and clubs focusing on residents' interests and hobbies.
Products & Services
In the last tab, you will find resources and services such as in-home care, home health care, estate planning, financial planning, senior locator and senior moving services, realtors, medical facilities, pharmacies, local community services and more. In-home health care is specialized to fit each individual's specific needs and may be provided by licensed health care professionals who fulfill medical care needs or by professional caregivers who ensure that daily living tasks and activities are met. Our extensive list of resources also includes estate planning and financial planning, which involves a wide variety of services such as wills, trusts, and estate administration. Our realtors as well as senior locator and moving services specialize in assisting seniors and their families with relocating along with the emotional and physical factors that come with moving.
